Me in a nutshell

I grew up as the resident shorty of a small town in New Brunswick, became a professionally trained environmental/aquatic biologist, moved to Calgary, fell in love with David - fellow life philosopher & singer of my souls lullaby, became a mother of 2 dragons, always been a dreamer & believer in signs, cloud watcher and driftwood hunter extraordinaire. Paying attention to life and the connections we have to each other is what keeps me going.

Life is art.

There’s something about looking through the lens of a camera that makes me lose track of all time and space.

I especially find women awe inspiring and the absolute freaking miracle of pregnancy and birth will never cease to amaze me. All the science, all the infinitely small odds of the timing and the truly mystical performance of the body that is required to achieve the most complex recipe of all time - human beings.

Witnessing a birth is like getting a glimpse of that secret recipe. The magic that transcends what our earthly brains are capable of truly processing. It’s very addictive I tell ya.

I want to capture and share this secret world so you can see for yourself. You can hold it in your hands as the tangible evidence that miracles do exist, life is precious and in the end the love we have for each other is all that matters.

Random pieces of me

I truly believe that we all have purpose on this earth and there's just something magical about life.

I'm obsessed with clouds and driftwood. Maybe because no two are the same (just like birth stories!).

I share a birthday with my nanny. My mom went into labour during a birthday party they were having for her. I came fast and furious.

People love my laugh. I spent much of my childhood being tickle tortured as a source of amusement :)
